We did a pretty olive green for the base cabinets and SW Natural Tan for the uppers. The island is a black stain on hickory. Special features included stacked glass uppers, a shelf for oils above the range, a knife/utensil pull out and a tray pull out. The microwave drawer on the island is hidden away from the pretty view of the kitchen, but remains fully functional and accessible.
